Welcome to the FundLatinos Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) applies to the use of the FundLatinos website located at www.fundlatinos.com (the “Site”) and related activities such as campaign creation, fundraising or donation (the “Services”) of our company, Glimmer Communities, Inc. (“FundLatinos,” “we” or “our”).   Your use of the Site and/or our Services constitutes your acceptance of this Policy and our Terms and Conditions (“T&C”). This Policy addresses our privacy practices relating to the general use of our Site by anyone who visits, browses or otherwise uses the Site, or who otherwise contacts us by mail, email, social media or telephone in connection with the Services we offer (collectively, “you”).  If you do not accept any aspect of the Policy, do not use this Site.  Capitalized terms used herein and not otherwise defined will have the respective meanings set forth in our T&C.

Information You Provide
By voluntarily providing us with personal data, you hereby consent to our use of it in accordance with this Policy.

Individuals
When you voluntarily provide information through our Site and Services, we may collect certain personal data. Examples of information we may collect from you include, but are not limited to:

  1. Your email address and any personal information you provide when you contact us via email
  2. Personal information you provide on your account page, a campaign page, or anywhere else on the Site – for example by connecting to Facebook and using your personal information from Facebook on the Site

 

You may also post information such as comments, text, images, videos and other content to the Site. Any such materials you post to the Site may be viewable by the general public and are governed by our Terms and Conditions.

 

If you do not want us to collect personal information, you can decide not to submit it to us. However, if you do not provide sufficient information, you may not be able to take full advantage of the Site and Services we offer.

Charitable Organizations
If you are a Charitable Partner, and you establish an account with FundLatinos, we may collect the name, tax ID, physical address, email address, birthday and phone number of the person who establishes the organization’s account. We may also collect that person’s gender, or any photos uploaded to the Site.

Non-Identifiable Data
By interacting with our site and Services, we receive and store personally non-identifiable information. Such information is collected passively using certain technologies. This information cannot be used to specifically identify you as an individual. We may store such information and share it with third parties, affiliates, agents or service providers. The information may be used to pool with other information to track, for example, total number of Campaigns created on our Site within a specific time frame.  It is important to note that while we collect, store and use certain non-identifiable data through our Services, we are not made aware of this information on an individual, personal level.

Cookies
In operating our Services, we may use a technology called “cookies.”  Cookies are pieces of information that a computer that hosts our Site gives to your web browser when you access our Site. Cookies help provide certain functionality and help us analyze our Site and Services more accurately. In all cases in which we use cookies, we will not collect your personal data, except with your permission. In most web browsers, you can turn cookies off. We however recommend that you leave cookies turned on because they allow you to take advantage of some of the Service features. 

Aggregation of Personal Data

In order to continually improve our Site and Services, we often conduct research on customer demographics, interests and behavior. We may aggregate and compile the personal data and other information provided to us with other user’s data. This research is done on an aggregate basis, and FundLatinos may share this aggregate data with its affiliates, agents and business partners. We may use aggregate user statistics in order to describe our services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes. This information will never identify you personally.

Location Information

We may at times request you to provide your location, including city and state of residence. Other users of the Services and Site may be able to view your city and state in connection with your Campaign. We may also use your location information in an aggregate manner, as described in the section above.

Google Analytics and Similar Third Party Technologies

At times we may allow third party service providers to use cookies or other technologies to collect information about your browsing activities across different websites following your use of the FundLatinos Site and Services. Google Analytics for example is used to help us analyze how users use the Site. We use this information to enhance the experience. Google Analytics and other similar technologies does not collect individual, personal information.

Social Network Integration

We have integrated third party services within the FundLatinos Site to improve our services. Integrations such as Facebook and Twitter (such services, including any other social network third party services, the “Social Network Services”) allow Campaign Owners to share Campaigns across existing networks to increase reach to potential Donors.  We will ask you to log into or give us permission via the relevant Social Networking Service. Upon login or permission to use a Social Network Service for our Services, we will collect relevant information to enable the Service to access that Social Networking Service and your data contained within that Social Networking Service. The information that we receive from a Social Networking service will be used accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Through these Social Networking Services integrations, you may be able to post your activities on our Site to the social networks. You acknowledge that if you choose to use these features, your friends, followers and subscribers you have enabled will be able to view such activity.

Our Use of Information You Provide

If you submit information to us through our Site or Services, we may use the information for a number of purposes.  We will use the personal information in connection with the reason in which it was provided. Reasons to use your personal data include, without limitation:

  • Facilitating communication between FundLatinos and you, including, without limitation, responding to questions, sending emails and newsletters related to our Site and Services
  • Providing you with important functionality changes to the Site and Services
  • Customizing, analyzing, adjusting and improving the Site to meet our advertiser’s or business partners’ needs
  • To enforce our agreements with you, prevent fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities, for other legally permissible purposes and generally to ensure that we comply with applicable laws
  • In accordance with the terms of the section entitled “Campaign, Site and Service Promotion” in the T&C


If FundLatinos intends on using any Personal Data in any manner or for any purpose that is not consistent with this Policy, we will obtain your prior informed consent as required by applicable law. 

Disclosure of Your Personal Information and Other Data

FundLatinos is not in the business of selling your personal information and data. There are, however, certain situations which we may share your personal information with certain third parties without further notice to you. These situations include:

Business Transfers – As we build our business, we may buy or sell business assets. In the event of a corporate sale, merger, dissolution or similar event, personal data may be part of the transaction

Agents, Consultants, Related Third Parties – From time to time we may hire other individuals or companies to perform certain tasks such as mailing information, maintaining databases and processing payments. When we employ another entity to perform such a function, we provide them with only the information they require to perform such function. We may however need to provide certain personal data and information.

Legal requirements – We may disclose your personal information if it is required to do so by government law or regulation

Exclusion

This Policy does not apply to any personal information collected by FundLatinos other than the information collected through our Site and Services. This Policy does not apply to unsolicited information you provide to FundLatinos through the Services or otherwise. All unsolicited information is deemed non-confidential and FundLatinos has the right to use, reproduce, disclose and distribute such information to others without limitation or attribution to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Children

FundLatinos does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, do not submit any personal information. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to FundLatinos, please contact us at support@fundlatinos.com and we will delete all information related to that individual.

Security

FundLatinos seeks to protect your personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorized access. However, no internet or email transmission is completely secure, and you accept the risks associated with that fact. You should be careful in sharing personal information over the internet.

Changes

Our business and related Site and Services changes from time to time. It may be necessary to make changes to this Policy. We reserve the right to change, modify, or update this policy at any time.
